June Camp 2023

June Camp is held at L.D. Bell Band High School.  It is for all members of the Band Program (Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, and Color Guard).  We will learn some of the music for the fall marching show and learn the audition drill for marching spot auditions during the first week of July/August Camp.

We will practice 8:30 – 12 pm & 1:30 – 4:30 pm each day.

***Drop Off and Parking***

We ask that parents dropping off use the circle drive in front of the school or the student parking lot on Pleasantview. Please avoid the teacher parking lot behind the Band Hall as it becomes very congested. Students who are driving should park in Student Parking or at Raider Bowl.

On Tuesday morning, everyone will meet in the Band Hall to sign in. Please plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes early in order to allow time to get into the building and get your nametags.

On Tuesday evening, May 30, there will be a Band Parent Meeting at 7:00 pm. There will also be a student social during that time.

Winds and Percussion should wear:

  • White t-shirt (logos are okay, but shirt should be predominantly white)
  • Athletic shorts or pants (no jeans)
  • Athletic shoes (choose running or training shoes over shoes like Converse or Vans)

Winds and Percussion should bring:Instruments

  • Stick bags (for percussionists)
  • WATER (please aim for minimum of 32 oz capacity)

Guard should wear:
Black dancewear

  • Athletic shoes (choose running or training shoes over shoes like Converse or Vans)

Guard should bring:

  • Flag or any other guard equipment
  • WATER (please aim for minimum of 32 oz capacity)

Please make sure all of your personal items are LABELED with your name.

***A special note for students using school-owned instruments such as bass clarinets, tenor or bari saxophones, mellophones (marching french horns), baritones, or contras (marching tubas)….your instruments are already assigned and available for pick up. You may pick up instruments after school between 4 and 5 pm on Thursday afternoon (May 25) OR you can pick them up on the first day of June Camp
