We wanted to take a moment to update you on where we are with regard to resuming in-person instruction for the L.D. Bell Band.

As an organization, the health and safety of our students is our number one priority. Earlier today, you received information from the HEB ISD regarding the start of school on August 18 and all students engaging in remote learning until September 8. As teachers, there is still a great deal of new information pertaining to Covid-19 protocols that we have not yet received training and information on. For this reason, we have decided as a staff that we will not be having any in person rehearsals prior to the start of school (August 18).

Teachers in HEB will begin our back to school professional development this coming week and as we learn more about what the return to school will look like. At that point, we will decide if we feel comfortable organizing in-person rehearsals during the online only period (Aug 18) or if we feel safer waiting until September 8. Once we have made that decision, we will communicate via Band News and the website.
