March-a-Thon Student Fundraiser- Saturday, September 7
Our first major student fundraiser is the March-A-thon, coming up Saturday, September 7th. This is a VERY important fundraiser for students because 100% of the donations and pledges collected by a student go directly to that student’s individual account to pay off their band fee! We rely on band fees to charter buses for travel, pay for costuming and flags, feed the students at competitions, and so much more.
How it works…on September 7, the Blue Raider Band will be marching through the community and performing two mini-concerts along the way. Students should ask friends, family members, parent co-workers, etc… to consider sponsoring them for the event. EVERY CENT of the sponsored money collected by a student will go towards that student’s band fee. Students can collect pledges in cash, check, or sponsors can donate online on behalf of a student with this link: www.ldbellband.org/march-a-thon-sponsorship-form.
