	*The 2010 L.D. Bell Band Presents:* HONOR: we will remember


	WALL OF HONOR CERTIFICATES Honor your loved ones who have served, or are serving in our armed forces, either abroad or here on the home front with a Wall of Honor Certificate. The Certificate will hang in the LD Bell Band Hall. This is a great way to fulfill the message of "Honor: We Will Remember." These certificates can also be used to honor First Responders, such as police, fire and medical personnel. Print the request form and follow the instructions on the form. You may chose to have one of the different service logos printed on the form, or you may email a copy of a photo of the person you are honoring to the address on the form. For a minimum donation of $10, we will produce a beautiful certificate that will honor the person or persons of your choice. Any monies donated above $10 can be used for a student's band fees. 	Bubb Recycling Fundraiser Time is drawing close to participate in the Bubb Recycling Fundraiser. This is a great event to donate any and all household items that you no longer need or use. Please see the following flyer for more information on what may be donated. Bubb is now accepting clothing including shoes, purses, belts, etc. (in boxes or bags, no hangers) and toys. They will also be accepting televisions for us. Help is still needed to unload items from cars from 10:00-noon on our pick-up day, Saturday, Aug. 28. 	Band Aids Attention all 8th & 9th graders! We need a few good Band Aids to help at the football games. If you like to work hard, play hard, and be where the action is, then this is the job for you. Band Aids meet early on football game days to help load the trucks, keep everyone refreshed with water, and other important tasks that support the Bell band. The first football game is Friday, September 3! Be sure to read the Guidelines for Band Aids, sign them, and fill out an application. Your parents need to read & sign all the forms, too. 	The L.D. Bell Band Annual Fund Although our school district financially supports many items in our budget, it is not possible for them to cover everything. The Annual Fund fills in the gaps for the many costs that the school district cannot cover. These include, but are not limited to, music and drill composition, flag materials, scholarship funds, clinicians, entry fees and technical staff for color guard, drumline and band. Letters have been sent to parents, alumni and area businesses to explain the sponsorship levels and how the funds will be used. Below there are links to these letters that you may print and take to friends, family, or businesses that might want to help sponsor the band for the coming year. We accept contributions all year long and sponsors will be recognized on our website and in various programs throughout the year. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to your support of the Blue Raider Band this year. With your help the band will continue to maintain its tradition of high standards. 	2010-2011 Entertainment Passbooks Fundraiser Passbooks Sales beings Saturday, August 7th – October 18th - Passbook Cost: $25.00 each Each student is requested to sell at least 3 books each to meet our goals for the fundraiser. 	Welcome Mr. Ben Maughmer We are excited to welcome Mr. Ben Maughmer to the L.D. Bell Band Staff. Mr. Maughmer has spent the past 16 years as Associate Director of Bands at Haltom High School in the Birdville ISD.
