Blue Raider Band Yearbook

For the first time, the Band Boosters Club is offering a BAND ONLY yearbook for members of the Blue Raider Band. The cost of the book is $19.00, and sales will be offered on a pre-paid basis only. The deadline to order has been extended until November 13th to see if we can get a minimum of 100 orders. For details go to the 2000-2001 Band Yearbook page.

We now have four restaurants participating with our band program, and they are offering rebates and incentives for dining with them. Why cook when you can dine out or order in and help the booster club get donations? For more information on restaurants and how to participate, check out the No Cooking Nights page.




2000-2001 Band Yearbook

As we all know, there are countless hours spent with members of the “band family” in practices, performing at games, participating in competitions, etc. There are friendships made here that will last a lifetime, and memories to cherish forever.

For the first time, the Band Boosters Club is offering a BAND ONLY yearbook for members of the Blue Raider Band. This book is being made available to preserve those memories for years to come. It will be filled with photos from almost everything the Blue Raider Band has participated in including practices, football games, pep-rallies, March-a-Thon, Homecoming Parade, BOA, Birdville, UIL, BBQ dinner, everything through mid-February. Photos of the outstanding group of directors and technicians will be included as well as individual photos of every band member in uniform. There will be lots of candid shots of good times and good friends.

The BAND ONLY yearbook will be produced by Taylor Publishing, the same company that produces the L.D. Bell school annual. It will be a soft-cover, professionally bound book including 32 pages of band memories from the 2000-2001 school year. The cost of the book is $19.00, and sales will be offered on a pre-paid basis only. To purchase one of these fine BAND ONLY YEARBOOKS, please submit your check or money order no later than Friday, November 13th. Checks should be made payable to L.D. Bell Band. Please submit your check, along with the information sheet at the bottom, in an envelope. On the outside of the envelope, please write, “Band Yearbook”, your band member’s name, and the amount enclosed. Envelopes should be turned in to the band directors. (Please note your band member’s name on the bottom of your check as well.)

In order to make this yearbook available to the band students, we must receive orders for a minimum of 100 books. I am optimistic that we will reach this number, but checks will be held until such time as the minimum order of 100 books is reached. If for some reason 100 yearbooks are not ordered, checks will be returned. Assuming the 100-book minimum is met, a receipt will be issued for your purchase, and sent home with your band member. Please keep this receipt as well as your cancelled check, for proof of purchase.

Remember, these books are offered on a pre-paid basis only, and will be delivered in the spring before school is out. If you do not order a band yearbook now, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE ONE IN THE SPRING. If you want a collection of great memories of an outstanding band, in an outstanding year, don’t delay. Order by November 13th. You’ll be glad you did!!!

Blue Raider Band "No Cooking Nights"

We now have four restaurants participating with our band program, and they are offering rebates and incentives for dining with them. The restaurants are listed below, as well as the specific days for which the specials are offered. The schedule will remain the same for the entire school year, unless otherwise notified. Please make every effort to patronize these restaurants, for not only do they all have great food, it makes dinner on Wednesday simple, and provides money for our band.

Also, we are offering incentives to the band kids for participation in these programs. There will be a prize drawing in the spring taken from the collected flyers and receipts from the participating restaurants. Some of the prizes will be cash, and we have a pizza party to win as well. The procedure to enter varies slightly from restaurant to restaurant, so please note the instructions for each.

Restaurant When How to Register for Prize
Domino's Pizza 1st Wednesday each month Complete bottom section of Domino's flyer, give flyer to driver upon delivery.
Sonic-Brown Tr. 2nd Wednesday, each month Tell them you are with Bell Band when you place your order. Sign the receipt, and leave it with the food server.
Hometown Pizza 3rd ENTIRE WEEK each month
(Monday - Sunday)
Tell them you are with the Bell Band when you place your order. Sign receipt on the back, and give to the band directors. Recipt will have Bell Band printed at the bottom.
Taco Bueno 4th Wednesday each month Tell them you are with the Bell Band when you place your order. Sign the receipt and leave it with your food server.
