2000 BLUE RAIDER MARCHING BAND SHOW: "KING OF KINGS"This year's marching production is "King Of Kings" - The final chapter in a trilogy by Miklos Rozsa and Mark Higginbotham. Miklos Rozsa's soundtrack music was written in an era when films describing legendary heros were at their zenith. The musical elements in "King Of Kings" describe the grand virtues of champions, the fierce clash of adversity, and the ultimate triumphant power of courage and honor. The final movement of our performance will revisit three years of L.D. Bell marching band productions. As we bring this Rozsa-Higginbotham trilogy to a close we recall the words of Marcus Aurelius: "Thou wilt give thyself relief if thou doest every act of thy life as if it were the last."
